Smart University

For World AIDS Day in 2013, we collaborated with Smart University and Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York to develop a community based program that would help inform residents about safe sex and HIV/AIDS Awareness.  The program included developing several artworks about practicing safe sex and recognizing women and youth who are living with HIV/AIDS as the powerful beings that they are, a community art exhibit at East Harlem Cafe that shared artwork by the women in SMART's art program, and a holiday party held at Union Settlement where the community came together to complete a mural about AIDS awareness.  Thru online messaging and...

Project Fierce Chicago

Project Fierce Chicago

In 2012, Sam Kirk partnered with Project Fierce Chicago to develop artwork that would visually represent their efforts, while sharing the a glimpse into the lives of the youth they help to drive awareness towards the organization. At the time, Project Fierce was working toward gaining enough funds to purchase their first home.  In 2015 they were able to purchase a four flat apartment building in North Lawndale, on Chicago’s West Side. We will be donating artwork to add to the decor of their space.
